On the two year date of my mom’s passing, I found myself and my brother in the same hospital. I was having pre-surgery tests done and my brother had a pace maker put in. When I was trying to find where my brother’s room was, I asked a lady if she knew where he might be. She was unusually gentle and nurturing and led me to the part of the hospital where there was a marble statue of Jesus with his arms outstretched with the quote “Come to me all you who are heavy laden and I will give you rest.” She told me many people came there to collect there thoughts and pray for their loved ones. We both touched his feet, where many people had laid flowers. She led me over to a comfortable chair and told me to rest until I got a text from my niece telling me where my brother was. She worked at the hospital but was there this day because her husband was having cancer surgery. We talked some about her accent and Slavic descent which was the same as my dad. When she walked away, I felt like I had been touched by a special presence. Funny thing is, I had a talk with my mom that morning and asked her for signs that day. I believe this was a powerful one!
